If you’re looking for the perfect gift, don’t you find that a little personal touch makes all the difference? And when you’re looking to treat yourself, doesn’t the element of personalisation make it even more special?
Well, we thought personalisation would be a lovely service to offer to gardeners, so we have introduced our personalised RHS-endorsed trowel.
The personalisation is etched down the side of the tool head, in text that’s not too big, not too small – just the right subtle touch. We have a selection of three typefaces to choose from. There’s a classic ‘serif’ option, a sleek modern ‘sans’ style, and a flowing handwritten script. There’s something here to reflect your personality, whatever your style.
And as the personalisation is etched into the metal rather than the wood of the handle, it won’t wear off, become rough to the hand, or allow the wood to deteriorate. It will stay looking good, year after year, reminding the user just how special they are.
We think it makes a lovely gift. For a wedding, a retirement, a birthday, a new home… There’s so many occasions when a personalised trowel is the perfect present for a green-fingered special someone.
Of course, a personalised trowel has a distinctly practical side too. For gardeners who work communally – in allotments, community gardens, or perhaps professionally, with colleagues – there’s no better way to ensure that everybody knows exactly whose trowel is whose.
Whether you want a name, a classic monogram, a date, or even a special message, we’re happy to add it to the trowel. As long as it’s under 20 characters, you can take it where you please. Within reason, of course – we wouldn’t want to make the roses blush!

A personalised trowel sounds awesome, would be great for down at the allotment to show off a bit of quality to the others down there!! My name of course!!
I would love to win a personalised trowel for myself, that’d be magical, as I’ve been gardening since 10 yrs old with my grandfather who is no longer here, and I miss so much. It’s my 50th birthday in August😆
I can look up and say I’m still gardening, with my own special trowel! Thank you all x
What an interesting blog, really enjoyed the article on the capsule tool collection very inventive to think of tools as you would the clothes in your wardrobe, sometimes you have so much to choose from however just use a few of your favourites
What a wonderful innovative idea. Excellent gift idea for a gardener young or old. Celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary, Special Occasion or just give yourself one.
I would love this trowel as most of my tools are now so old they are falling apart, I am in the process of replacing them all. Ty
