All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment on this blog, briefly outlining your plans for your garden in 2021. Scroll to the bottom of this page to comment (your email address won't be published). You’ll also need to be a subscriber to our monthly email newsletter to be a winner, so if you're not already signed up, fill in your email address in the grey band right at the bottom of this page. You can unsubscribe at any time if you don’t enjoy our monthly updates.
Your plans for your 2021 garden might be simple - ours is to plant more white flowers in the wildlife bed, to keep the all-day buffet going after dark so the moths can enjoy it too. You may want to grow more of your own fruit and veg next year, or branch out into new and unusual crops. Perhaps you have your eye on trying some heritage varieties of familiar favourites.
Or you might have grander plans - a new greenhouse, perhaps, to accommodate the ever-growing plant population in your garden. Or perhaps grander still, if you're lucky enough to have the space to play with - maybe a wildlife pond, landscaping a terrace on a gradient, or planting a copse of native trees... Whatever gardening vision you see in your mind's eye, we'd love to hear about it!

This giveaway is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative is available. The winner will be chosen on the basis of the most inspiring gardening plans for 2021 and the judges’ decision will be final. One winner will receive one (1) pack of gardening tools from Burgon & Ball, either the Avid Allotmenteer of the Gorgeous Gardener prize as outlined above. Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 28/12/2020 and closes at 23:59 on 03/01/2021. Winner will be contacted by Burgon & Ball shortly after the closing date. Employees of Burgon & Ball and their family members aren’t eligible to win. One entry per person; entries created by a bot or a service that automatically enters participants are not eligible to win. I’ve planted a lot of bulbs during lockdown, so I can’t wait till Spring time to have lots of beautiful flowers. I’ve been reading up on how to maintain them and plant more for autumn time.
We moved into our current home in the Autumn and to say it is a blank canvas is an understatement, we’ve had four skips and just about getting on top of it. Because of the time of year we haven’t done anything else but clear it, although we have planted some “lasagne” bulb planters for some colour in the spring. It is quite a large garden so when the better weather is here I plan to make part of the garden into a wild flower haven, lay part to lawn and fill the borders with shrubs that our bees will love.
I need to design my garden. Have clay soil and tree roots to contend with, so going to get some professional help to get the best suited plants for year round colour/texture that is also low maintenance
We have a family allotment that we spent most of last year clearing as it was so overgrown having not been used since my Grandcha died some 15 years ago! Together we have managed to clear it and prep the soils, made beds and have a polytunel. This year we are hoping to bring it back to its former glory and plant many fruits and vegetables. I love cooking too so can’t wait to get stuck in to making jams and chutneys! My Granch would be so pleased to see it being used again.
Grow my climbers more and plant some more bee friendly plants!
