All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment on this blog, briefly outlining your plans for your garden in 2021. Scroll to the bottom of this page to comment (your email address won't be published). You’ll also need to be a subscriber to our monthly email newsletter to be a winner, so if you're not already signed up, fill in your email address in the grey band right at the bottom of this page. You can unsubscribe at any time if you don’t enjoy our monthly updates.
Your plans for your 2021 garden might be simple - ours is to plant more white flowers in the wildlife bed, to keep the all-day buffet going after dark so the moths can enjoy it too. You may want to grow more of your own fruit and veg next year, or branch out into new and unusual crops. Perhaps you have your eye on trying some heritage varieties of familiar favourites.
Or you might have grander plans - a new greenhouse, perhaps, to accommodate the ever-growing plant population in your garden. Or perhaps grander still, if you're lucky enough to have the space to play with - maybe a wildlife pond, landscaping a terrace on a gradient, or planting a copse of native trees... Whatever gardening vision you see in your mind's eye, we'd love to hear about it!

This giveaway is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative is available. The winner will be chosen on the basis of the most inspiring gardening plans for 2021 and the judges’ decision will be final. One winner will receive one (1) pack of gardening tools from Burgon & Ball, either the Avid Allotmenteer of the Gorgeous Gardener prize as outlined above. Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 28/12/2020 and closes at 23:59 on 03/01/2021. Winner will be contacted by Burgon & Ball shortly after the closing date. Employees of Burgon & Ball and their family members aren’t eligible to win. One entry per person; entries created by a bot or a service that automatically enters participants are not eligible to win. We draw your attention to our privacy policy here. So much of the neighbourhood has been paved overtop has astroturf ‘lawn’. We will be spending time growing fruit and veg as well as introducing more flowers and shrubs that are bee friendly.
We have just moved home. So are waiting to see what pops up before we make any plans. Believe there to be lots of perennials in the borders.
I have literally just moved into a new build home so my garden is a complete blanc canvas. I’ve just purchased a greenhouse to start growing my bulbs and seeds from scratch. I want to have a veggie patch, a bit of a wildflower garden for nature and some patio fruit plants. I have a toddler so a sensory garden is a massive job on my to do list to encourage her to become a keen little gardener

We have always grown some of our own fruit and veg, including tomatoes, salads, and onions. During this year we want to try growing other vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, first early potatoes, runner beans, carrots, and fruits such as strawberries. Also, we’re going to try several herb vareties. As soon as the weather gets a little better, we are going to prepare a small plot and prepare the soil so that it’s ready for planting. Home-grown always tastes best, it’’s cheaper, more environmentally friendly, and gardening provides great exercise. We can’t wait to get back outdoors again!
