All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment on this blog, briefly outlining your plans for your garden in 2021. Scroll to the bottom of this page to comment (your email address won't be published). You’ll also need to be a subscriber to our monthly email newsletter to be a winner, so if you're not already signed up, fill in your email address in the grey band right at the bottom of this page. You can unsubscribe at any time if you don’t enjoy our monthly updates.
Your plans for your 2021 garden might be simple - ours is to plant more white flowers in the wildlife bed, to keep the all-day buffet going after dark so the moths can enjoy it too. You may want to grow more of your own fruit and veg next year, or branch out into new and unusual crops. Perhaps you have your eye on trying some heritage varieties of familiar favourites.
Or you might have grander plans - a new greenhouse, perhaps, to accommodate the ever-growing plant population in your garden. Or perhaps grander still, if you're lucky enough to have the space to play with - maybe a wildlife pond, landscaping a terrace on a gradient, or planting a copse of native trees... Whatever gardening vision you see in your mind's eye, we'd love to hear about it!

This giveaway is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative is available. The winner will be chosen on the basis of the most inspiring gardening plans for 2021 and the judges’ decision will be final. One winner will receive one (1) pack of gardening tools from Burgon & Ball, either the Avid Allotmenteer of the Gorgeous Gardener prize as outlined above. Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 28/12/2020 and closes at 23:59 on 03/01/2021. Winner will be contacted by Burgon & Ball shortly after the closing date. Employees of Burgon & Ball and their family members aren’t eligible to win. One entry per person; entries created by a bot or a service that automatically enters participants are not eligible to win. We draw your attention to our privacy policy here. At some point this year we are going to start on a veg patch
I plan to keep trying to be as environmentally friendly and bee friendly as I can.Am planting vegetables for the home grown taste and reduction of carbon footprint. Will do it as a family to continue a love of nature,gardening and working together
Having already bought and planted many bulbs to bloom in spring would love a summer garden of colourful blooms too! Stuck at home we need to be enjoying our gardens and love plants/flowers that attract bees and butterflies, buddleja etc
I am aiming for an abundance of colour throughout the year, beginning with spring bulbs, then a summer of cottage garden favourites, like hollyhocks and foxgloves for height, with antirrhinum for a guaranteed splash of colour and delphiniums to delight the senses. Then cascading through a brilliant Autumn of blooms with additions to my rose garden and fuschias flourishing into the cooler months. A few plantings of primroses and cyclamen here and there for a surprise colour burst in the forgotten corners and I’ll have the kind of landscape that I think we all need to bring cheer in these difficult times.
We are planning to tame the wild areas, prune the trees back, build a seating area and weed on a regular basis!
