A blooming successful night: industry awards win for new RHS tools

We were thrilled to bits recently to take top honours at the GIMA Awards 2023 with our three new RHS-endorsed trowels.

These major awards from the Garden Industry Manufacturers' Association (GIMA) are probably the gardening industry's biggest night out, and it was certainly a night to remember for us.

We took first place in the ‘Garden Tools, Machinery and Implements’ category, with our new Planting Trowel, Groundbreaker Trowel and Weeding Trowel. The GIMA judges described the range as “a lovely addition to a really comprehensive range of quality hand tools”, which made our night!

The new trowel designs have been created to provide gardeners with tools tailored to specific planting tasks, rather than relying on the traditional one-size-fits-all trowel for everything. And like all our RHS-endorsed stainless steel tools, all three new trowels are covered by our lifetime guarantee.

The heart-shaped planting trowel is perfect for shallow digging and scooping – ideal for plug plants and smaller bulbs. The Groundbreaker trowel is based on the shape of our popular Groundbreaker spade, and the sharpened pointed head is ideal for digging in challenging ground. And the weeding trowel is a handy all-rounder that’s great for digging in small spaces, transplanting, weeding and more. No gardener should be without it!

We knew the collection is loved by gardeners, as they’ve been selling like the proverbial hot cakes. This award reveals that the collection is a hit with the top industry judges, too - and we couldn't be happier! We put a lot of work into designing our tools to be not only useful to gardeners, but to be beautiful, too – and this award demonstrates that these tools really are something special.

If you're looking for inspiration for a gardening gift - or in the mood for treating yourself! - why not try them out?
