Darkly dramatic: the new Sahara Sunset homeware collection

We're bringing drama to décor this season with the launch of our new Sahara Sunset homeware collection.

We’ve created the range to complement the interiors trend for an eclectic mix of textured and earthy classic pieces. With its rich, dark colour, warm metallic gleam and subtle texture, Sahara Sunset will bring a touch of the exotic to any home.

The pieces are made using the traditional technique of metal spinning. This involves pressing on the edge of a rotating vertical disc - like a circular saw, but without the cutting edge. The edge bends round into a bowl shape, eventually forming Sahara’s beautiful curves. The pieces are then decorated by hand with an understated texture and metallic lacquer around the rim.

The Sahara Sunset collection comes to life when greenery or flowers are added. The contrast of the dark metal makes colours look extra vibrant, so these items are perfect for making attention-grabbing displays.

There’s a wide range of indoor plant pots, some with chains for hanging to give that lush, jungly feel. We’ve included generously-sized pots and a floor pot in the collection, for those striking large plants which are so much in demand.

We’re calling Sahara a home collection, since we’ve taken care to include some striking multi-purpose pieces which can be used all round the home. There’s a beautiful big statement bowl, for example. A vase and a jug will join the line-up in the autumn.

Bring the drama of the exotic into your store this season with the new Sahara Sunset collection.
